Mike Adams

Mike Adams is a landscape painter based in Coastal Maine, specializing in tonalism and plein air. His work is deeply influenced by the French Barbizon school and American Tonalists, who sought to capture the spiritual essence of the natural world.

Adams’ landscapes have been featured in an exhibit at the WCMFA, hanging next to work by Alexander Helwig Wyant, Albrecht Durer, George Inness and Frederic Church. His plein air work takes him all over the US and internationally including Iceland and a residency in Southern Italy.
