Mark your calendars. I am so excited to present this body of work and bring attention to HeartGift Foundation, an organization that is saving lives on a global scale for children born with congenital heart defects. Often called “blue babies” I created a collection of animals in blue (mostly) from all over the planet. The show is dedicated to my sister, Laura, who passed away in 1975 at almost three years of age from a congenital heart defect. I hope to see you at the reception at Archway Gallery: Saturday, September 12th 5-8pm.

Join artist Pamela Caughey for a focused art retreat in the warm, sun-drenched hills of Tuscany. Each day includes practical instruction in abstract painting through demonstrations, dedicated studio time, and personal mentoring. You’ll build a strong foundation in design and color theory, receive individual feedback, and develop a cohesive body of abstract work. Pam’s teaching is intuitive and supportive, always tuned to your needs, helping you feel more assured in your process and artistic choices. While Pam's demos in color and design will be done using the oil and cold wax medium on Ampersand panels, artists may also work in acrylic or another 2D medium.

Ann Ranlett MSA, an Ampersand Education Ambassador, is one of the artists on the Tour, and she'll demo Scratchbord all 3 days at the Newcastle Packing Shed Studios. She'll also have original scratchboard drawings and reproductions available for sale, and free samples of Scratchbord & Claybord. This is a two-weekend event, the 2nd weekend is November 13 - 15.
